Cookies, the famous fragrant and buttery round biscuits with chocolate chips, the recipe for Cookies was born by chance, around the 1930s in the kitchen of Ruth Wakefield, the landlady of the “Toll House Inn” hotel. Ruth had run out of cocoa powder that she usually used to make butter biscuits for her customers So she decided to finely chop a chocolate bar and add it to the mixture, imagining that it would melt. In reality, the pieces of her remained intact, but her customers were enthusiastic about this delicious version. Excellent for breakfast or for an afternoon snack, enjoying it on its own.
