Regina or reginella biscuits are typical Sicilian biscuits covered with sesame seeds, also known as “strunzi di regina” or “viscotta ca giuggiulena“. These are crunchy and delicious biscuits. They are excellent to consume for breakfast or as a snack, accompanied with milk, tea or coffee, but also to be served at the end of a meal, perhaps with a glass of Marsala.
Ingredients:
Flour, lard, sugar, water, eggs, honey, ammonium bicarbonate, orange and lemon zest, sesame seeds.
