Pistachio tea leaves are sweets of Etna origin, now widespread throughout Eastern Sicily. The main ingredient is Sicilian pistachio. As soon as they are baked they are given the particular horseshoe shape which makes them unmistakable. Crunchy and crumbly dessert with multiple aromatic notes. It goes perfectly with the afternoon tea break, but even better if combined with the excellent Sicilian fortified wines. Pistachio tea leaves are the alternative to almond ones.
